These words were the inspiration for Michelle B., breast cancer survivor to embrace her scars and transform them into the images.
The Butterfly Story has provided breast cancer survivors the opportunity to express their experience artistically through body art by Chantal Hughes (Ouellette) and photography by Izabela Pioro Photography. We hope that breast cancer survivors will find this experience to be transformative. The collection of finished photos will form a gallery exhibit to showcase the finished product.
The Northern Cancer Fund received 100% of the proceeds from The Butterfly Story Project which will go to support the Thunder Bay Breast Cancer Support Group.
